Lifelong Friends

“Lifelong Friends” is an acoustic music duo that performs contemporary folk and original songs with a positive and inspirational message. They feature finger-picking acoustical arrangements, sometimes accompanied by flute, and have been said to have “…the best two-part harmonies in the Dallas area”.

Ray and Melody Dodd, a husband / wife team, have been performing professionally since 1988. They performed at the International Women’s Peace Conference in Dallas and have performed in many other area programs and headlined in local venues, such as Uncle Calvin’s Second Rate Coffee Emporium, Bethany Coffeehouse, Java Jones, Expresso, Gloria Dei Nights Coffee Haus, and Waldo’s Coffeehouse in Waco, Texas. They have also performed in other major venues as the Fort Worth Mayfest and Octoberfest, The Hop, Dallas Blooms, Candlelight Tours in Old City Park, Poor David’s Pub, and other venues in Little Rock, Arkansas and Graham, Texas.

Ray and Melody have also provided vocal and instrumental assistance on stage and in the recording studio for other artists, such as Emilie Aronson, Kirk Edens, LaDonna Goetz, and Lu Mitchell.

They recorded and released their first album, “Dreams”, as part of the trio, “Ray, Melody and Lennis” in 1988, and as “Lifelong Friends” recorded and released their second album “Where Do We Go From Here?” at the “Friday Night Live Coffeehouse, in Farmers Branch, Texas. Their recently re-mastered and re-released album “Where Do we Go From Here?” includes the bonus track “Old Lover”, one of Melody's originals, and is available on CD only.

Due to scheduling conflicts we are not presently performing.
